Crow‘s Theatre and The Musical Stage Company unite to co-present the long-awaited Canadian premiere of the Broadway phenomenon NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 by Dave Malloy. Originally scheduled for 2020 but delayed due to the pandemic, this Crow‘s Theatre and The Musical Stage Company co-production at the Guloien Theatre will be directed by Chris Abraham, with choreography by Ray Hogg and musical direction by Ryan deSouza. Created by Dave Malloy, whose work was introduced to Toronto audiences with his whisky-fuelled song cycle Ghost Quartet at Crow‘s Theatre, NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 is Malloy‘s most celebrated work. Radically contemporary, the 12-time Tony-nominated musical is a passionate, heartbreaking, and moving take on Leo Tolstoy‘s War and Peace, brought to life through audacious storytelling and a groundbreaking score that mixes indie rock, pop, folk, electronic dance music, and classic Broadway.
